Your Pet May Be in Pain. You’d Never Know.
Dental disease is one of the most common and most overlooked health problems in cats and dogs. Sydney Pet Dentistry diagnoses and treats it so your pet can eat, play, and live without pain.

Signs Worth Taking Seriously
Animals are wired to hide pain. By the time you notice something, the problem is often well advanced. These are the signs most owners miss:
- Bad breath that persists
- Eating more slowly, or dropping food
- Chewing on one side
- Pawing at the mouth
- Going off food entirely
- Changes in mood/behaviour — less playful, more withdrawn
By age three, 80% of dogs and cats have some form of dental disease. Most show no obvious signs at all.

When Your Pet Needs a Specialist
Some dental cases need specialist equipment, focused expertise, and shorter anaesthesia time. That’s where we come in.
You can book directly with us — no referral needed. If your pet does have a regular vet, we’ll work with them throughout, with access to your pet’s medical records and a full report sent back after treatment.
Either way, your pet gets the same standard of care.

Conditions We Treat
Send us the cases that are eating your schedule or sitting outside your scope. We commonly receive referrals for:

Periodontal disease and gum infection

Tooth fractures and root canal therapy

Full or partial mouth extractions

Stomatitis (severe gum inflammation in cats and dogs)

Oral tumours, cysts, and jaw fractures

Bite problems and malocclusions hyperplasia

Unerupted or impacted teeth in puppies and kittens

Dental disease in elderly or medically complex pets
Worried About the Anaesthetic?
It’s the question almost every pet owner asks. Here’s how we approach it.
Every patient has an individual anaesthesia plan based on their age, weight, and health status. A dedicated team member monitors your pet continuously from induction through to recovery. For older animals or those with heart, kidney, or liver conditions, we bring in a visiting specialist anaesthetist.
Pain management starts before surgery and continues after. Most pets are eating within hours of waking up.

How It Works

Consult
30 minutes. We examine your pet, discuss the findings, and walk through all treatment options with costs before anything is decided.

Treatment
Most surgeries happen the same day as the consultation, if your pet has fasted. No second trip, less stress.

Recovery:
Your pet recovers under observation and goes home the same evening in most cases. A follow-up check is included at no cost.

What Pet Owners Say
Referral or No Referral — Both Are Fine
Most patients arrive with a referral from their vet. That’s the preferred path: we can access your pet’s medical records and work closely with your vet from the start.
No referral? You can contact us directly. We also offer second opinions if you want reassurance before committing to a treatment plan.
